Ashfield GP surgery set to close, with some patients facing two bus journeys to see a doctor
The surgery is a branch of Jacksdale Medical Centre, where patients will now have to travel to for their appointments.
Dr Gavin Lunn, GP and Clinical Lead at NHS Mansfield and Ashfield CCG said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but unfortunately this is an issue that is out of our hands. The landlord of the property has served an immediate notice to vacate the property. All clinical services will continue to be provided to patients at the main surgery, Jacksdale Medical Centre.”

Hide AdUnderwood Surgery is a branch surgery of Jacksdale Medical Centre, and home visits will continue in Underwood.
Jacksdale Medical Centre is over two miles away, and would take 42 minutes to walk there from Underwood Surgery, or seven minutes to drive.
All patients of Underwood will be sent a letter to inform them of the closure.
Although the 528 bus serves the area, as some residents live further out in rural areas, they may need to catch two busses.
