Socially-distanced fun at Mansfield farm

I visited White Post Farm to see how they were keeping visitors safe and to experience the new social-distancing measures they had put in place.
We arrived early at the farm park on Mansfield Road in Farnsfield to find a small socially-distanced queue to get in and, once inside, it was clear to see they had worked hard on making the experience as family-friendly as possible.

It felt much more relaxed than we had anticipated, but there were still hand-washing stations at every section to remind everyone to keep safe, and masks were worn in the gift shop.
With visitor capacity currently reduced by 75 per cent, the farm park was easy to navigate whilst keeping our distance from other families, and facilities and touch points were constantly cleaned during our visit by friendly staff.
Anthony Moore, marketing manager for White Post Farm explained how it was going: “We are just so happy to be open to the public again.

"Everyone really seems to be enjoying it so far, we’re getting great feedback, and we think some of the changes may end up being made permanent as it has worked so well.”
We had a great day despite the rain, feeding the animals, seeing the newborn baby goats and visiting the newly-opened falconry section, and my 10-year-old even managed to forget about Fortnite for a few hours, which is no mean feat.
Visitors to the farm park are urged to pre-book their tickets in advance, via the website, before travelling: www.whitepostfarm.co.uk
