Violent Kirkby thug jailed for ten years
Nottingham Crown Court was told how David Chambers (42), of Glenside, Kirkby, had punched her and as she fell forwards followed through with an uppercut motion which caused her nose to split open.
On another occasion he punched her to the side of her face, causing her teeth to split the inside of her cheek. He then punched her ear, causing the damage to her eardrum.

Hide AdThe paranoid drug user also subjected the terrified woman to inspections for hidden devices he convinced himself she was carrying.
A jury found David Chambers guilty of two counts of sexual assault, two of actual bodily harm, one of harassment and one of possession of a class B drug.
DC Cherie Sisson said: “The victim in this case should be commended for having the bravery to come forward and see the court case through despite being terrified by her ordeal.
“I hope now she can move on with her life, knowing that he is behind bars and justice has been done.”
