NOTTS PREMIER LEAGUE: it's Cuckney's title again if they beat closest rivals
After beating relegation-threatened Farnsfield by 54 runs in their latest match, Cuckney head the table by 32 points from Plumtree, who defeated Caythorpe.
Once Saturday’s showdown is completed, there will be only one more round of fixtures to go, with the defending champions set to entertain bottom-of-the-table Welbeck, while Plumtree go to Radcliffe-on-Trent.

Hide AdFarnsfield's side included all-rounder Steven Mullaney, fresh from Nottinghamshire’s NatWest Blast Twenty20 heroics. But despite his return of 4-49 from 11 overs, going on as second change, Cuckney amassed a terrific total of 265-8 from their allotted 50 overs.
The innings revolved around a second-wicket stand worth 114 between opener Gareth Purshouse (74, eight fours) and Simon Mugava (63, seven fours). The momentum was maintained by skipper Nick Langford (31) and Arosh Janoda (29, three sixes), and the score was boosted by 30 extras, including 23 wides.
The visitors’ reply was spearheaded by opener Matt Sisson, who fired 85 (two sixes and 13 fours) off 65 balls. And with Mullaney adding 45 (seven fours), they looked dangerous at one stage on 173-3. But the rest of the batting offered little and the last seven wickets fell for only 38 runs, with James Hawley removing Sisson and taking 4-23 in ten overs for Cuckney.
