Berry Hill pupils help boost Mansfield park
More than 120 children came to work in small teams to sow the wildflower seeds. They found out about the type of flowers that should grow and the colours they will be.
Year 5 pupils took over being the teacher, as they explained to year 1 pupils all about the meadow and why it is being grown.

The project has continued the links between the school and the council which has focused so far on improving King George V Park.

“We are so pleased that the council were able to help us create a meadow on the school site.
“It will add colour and interest to the school grounds as well as being beautiful for the public as they walk past our school.”
