Hide AdProsecuting, Neil Hollett daid: “Police witnessed a Citroen vehicle swerving, but it was being driven at an unusually slow speed. Officers were suspicious and stopped the vehicle and conducted a roadside breath test, which was over the limit.”
Ryan, 37, of The Grove, Derby Road, Annesley, admitted drink driving when she appeared before the court.
Magistrates heard that she had a similar conviction dating back to 2005, which was outside the time period to justify giving her an extended ban.
Speaking in her own defence, Ryan said she had been at a friends house but there had been an altercation and she had decided to drive the five minute journey home.
“There was no excuse,” she told magistrates.
