Police in Edwinstowe have issued an appeal for the owners of ‘some green vegetable matter’ discovered in the village to get in touch with them.

Officers found the bag of cannabis on High Street on Sunday, which they say they have now ‘booked it in to our property department for safe keeping’.

“If you have lost a little bag containing some green vegetable matter please pop down to Ollerton Police Station. However I’ll be blunt with you, I don’t think weed be best buds,” said a spokesman on the Sherwood North Police Facebook page.
