As the joy of another weekend approaches, here’s what you can expect from the weather in the coming days.

Today (Friday, October 21) will see a grey, dull morning as early fog and low cloud only gradually lifts.

As the day goes on, it will become brighter and breezier through the afternoon, with blustery showers spreading.

The evening will be heavy and thundery in places. Maximum temperature 17C.

Showers will remain heavy at times with the risk of thunder into the night, but easing overnight to become dry for most. Winds staying fresh and temperatures mild. Minimum temperature 12C.

Saturday (October 22) will likely be dry and bright with winds easing slightly, but the risk of a shower returns into the evening.

Maximum temperature 17C.

There is expected to be spells of rain, heavy and possibly thundery, moving erratically northwards on Sunday.

It will then be another showery day on Monday but generally drier into Tuesday. Breezy at times and staying mild.
