Man arrested after 'nasty' Mansfield assault and robbery left victim cut and bruised

Officers were called to Windsor Road shortly after 11pm after members of the public reported a man had been assaulted and robbed.
When police arrived on the scene, they noticed a man walking nearby who fit the description of the alleged assailant.

Hide AdA 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and robbery and remains in police custody.
The victim was treated in hospital for cuts and bruises.
District commander for Mansfield Inspector Nick Butler said: “This was a nasty incident that was phoned into us by concerned members of the public.
"Officers were quickly on the scene and, thanks to a good bit of police work, soon had a suspect in custody.
"Incidents like this are rare but when they do happen we take them extremely seriously and do whatever we can to find those responsible and get justice for victims.”
