Driver lost control of car while over limit

A drink driver who turned his car onto its side after losing control has been banned from the road for 20 months.

Ryan Luke Moore, 19, of Sylvan Avenue, Kirkby, crashed the Renault Clio on Kirkby Folly Road.

His girlfriend was his passenger at the time.

When an off-duty officer arrived, Moore tried to run and hide.

Appearing at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court, he admitted having 186 mgs of alcohol in 100 mls of blood. The legal limit is 80 mgs.

The court was told how Moore had not intended to drive that night, but had lost his girlfriend during a night out in town and panicked.

He was made to pay £338 in fines and costs.
