Pupils learn about the world of work
Believe in Young People (BiYP) is involving more employers as it helps 11-18 year olds prepare for future employment and guide them into their most fulfilling career.
At Kirkby College the company’s employer partner Premier Inn, held an Inspire event with Year 9s at the college in June this year.

Kelly Halliday, Work Related Learning Co-ordinator at Kirkby College, said: “Our students found the event inspirational and motivational but it also offered a lot of practical tips and advice to prepare them for work, understand what skills and behaviours they possess and which career opportunities they are suited to.”
She said getting the opportunity to meet local employers face-to-face had a huge impact on pupils. So far the charity is working with Costa in Westgate, Mansfield and South Normanton and Premier Inns in Hucknall, Ripley Daybrook and South Normanton.
