Sutton man charged with Prison Mutiny
Jamie Hill, 35, of Brookfield Avenue, is among 10 men charged over an “incident of disorder” requiring the use of riot squads at a prison last year.
One prison officer was injured in trouble which broke out at HMP Stocken in Rutland on Sunday 14 June.

Hide AdThe men have all been collectively charged with prison mutiny, Leicestershire Police said.
All ten are due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The other men are: Brendan Carey, 39, of Cathwaite, Paston, Peterborough; Steven Walker, 36, Michael Blackborow, 33, and Bradley Whelan, 24, all of HMP Nottingham; Matthew Hutchinson, 39, and Andrew Neale, 45, of HMP Peterborough; Daniel Dobb, 29, Wayne Eccles, 37, and Nathan Gordon, 24, all of HMP Ranby.
At the time, the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) said about 60 prisoners were involved in a “serious incident of indiscipline”.

Hide AdAll 120 prisoners on a wing had to be moved to other parts of the jail or other prisons.
Specially-trained prison officers were called in at about 11pm before the situation was brought under control in the early hours of the following day.
