Will Derbyshire see a white Christmas?
Snow looks set to fall in parts of the Peak District on Christmas Day – meaning Derbyshire could technically see a white Christmas.
According to the Met Office, the official definition of a white Christmas is for one flake of snow to fall at a particular location.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Over very high ground on the Peak District, we could see some wintry showers – including snow.
“There is still a fair amount of uncertainty in the Christmas Day forecast – which is as you’d expect this far ahead – so it is subject to change.”
