The UK’s most senior BAME (black and minority ethnic) police officer has urged police forces to stand up to “racists, inequality and injustice”.

Neil Basu (who is the MET Assistant Commissioner) said in a message to officers that he was “horrified” by the death of Geroge Floyd in the United States.
