Hide AdAfter being battered in the league 5-2 by Carlisle last time out, Stags’ boss Steve Evans made three changes.
Trio James Baxendale, Ashley Hemmings and Chris Hamilton replaced the outgoing Pat Hoban, Oscar Gobern and Mitch Rose.
The visitors were great value for their two-goal lead at the break against a Keith Curle side that have tasted defeat just twice this term.
The hosts made the running early on with Jamie Devitt firing over before shot-stopper Scott Shearer sensational kept Alex McQueen out with a flying one-handed save.

Prolific marksman Matt Green then tapped in his ninth goal of the season after Lee Collins left him with barely anything to do from six yards.
Six minutes before the interval Baxendale put Shearer under pressure, with Reggie Lambe blocking Shearer’s clearance wide.
A sedate second-half sprung into life as the Stags were given a nervy 17 minutes to hold on.

The hosts started to pile on the pressure and it told as Shearer charged for the ball and missed with Charlie Wyke - who scored a hat-trick against the Stags just over a week ago - equalising from a tight angle.
But the Stags snuck their way into round three late on when Rose sent the small travelling contingent in the crowd wild with a screamer from outside the box, finding the top corner from 25 yards from Kevan Hurst’s ball to him.
The draw will take place at 11.30am on Thursday live on Sky Sports News HQ.
