Tom Allan says he had no hesitation in joining Alfreton Town
He became the Reds’ fifth signing of the close season as Alfreton look to rebuild following last year’s relegation.
The highly-rated 6’4’’ left-sided central defender can also play left back and despite being aged just 20, he already has plenty of experience of the Conference scene having played 21 times last season for Gateshead in the National League Premier.

Hide AdDespite a few sniffs of interest from other clubs, he chose to move to the Reds after hearing plenty of good things about life at the Impact Arena.
“I chose to come to Alfreton because it is a family club and I had heard good reviews and things about the management team and the club,” said twenty-year-old Tom.
“Most people know they were very unlucky to be relegated last season and I am hoping we can get promoted straight back up again.
“There is a good bunch of lads in the squad at the minute with an average age of around 23 or 24. Everyone is hungry and willing to battle for each other and if we can stick together I think we can do it. On a personal note, I just want to play as many games as possible.”

“It was pleasing the way the team kept their shape well especially when out of possession. We got a goal on the break but overall it was a good all-round performance,” he added.
